The Belconnen Fresh Food Markets were once home to more than 20 of Canberra’s finest food providores. After over 40 years supporting local businesses, farmers, and serving the Canberra community, the market has a new lease on life reopening as Capital Food Market in 2023.

The new Capital Food Market showcases leading fresh food providers, while offering locals and visitors an exciting new dining destination to be enjoyed all year round.

From the outset, energy efficiency has been at the heart of the Market’s design, we’re proud to have included thermal temperature control and solar electricity generation.
