Pine Island Reserve is a popular riverside recreation area located along the Murrumbidgee River in Canberra’s south.

Set within the scenic Murrumbidgee River Corridor, the reserve offers a relaxed natural setting for picnics, swimming and outdoor activities. Visitors can enjoy open grassy areas, shaded picnic spots and easy access to the river, making it a well-known destination during the warmer months.

Walking and cycling trails connect the reserve to nearby locations, including Point Hut Crossing and Kambah Pool, with Pine Island also forming part of the Murrumbidgee Discovery Track.
