Starlight Cabin – Kai Iwi Estate

Starlight Cabin is a secluded self-contained cabin situated in a peaceful rural setting with, clean, crisp mountain air, perfect for a relaxing getaway.

The cabin is situated on an operating cattle property with stunning views to the north overlooking Grahams Valley. It is situated in a peaceful rural setting with, clean, crisp mountain air. The elevation is approximately 1293 metres and in winter there are frosts and the occasional snowfall.

The cabin was built out of an old shed which was on the property when we purchased about ten years ago. Prior to our modifications it was used to store farm equipment – it had a dirt floor and had gates hung on the front to keep the cattle out!

Once we had completed the cabin fit-out and refurbishment we lived here until we finally built our new home, and now Starlight Cabin is a space dedicated for guests.

There is plenty of space to bring your four legged friends, the property has a fenced yard around the cabin for dogs. And separate to the living area there is a large, pastured yard available with fresh running water for your horse.

And there is ample space available to park your trailer/truck/ caravan or camper too.
