Melaleuca Surfside, in Port Stephens, is an architecturally designed, owner-operated retreat three minutes from the sparkling waters of spectacular One Mile Beach midway along the newly renovated Tomaree Coastal Walk.
The boutique-style accommodation uses wood and glass to maximise light, space and harmony with nature. With views to the stars, stay in a cabin or camp out in bushland with the local wildlife. They are a Land for Wildlife property, no domestic pets are allowed.
A tranquil retreat in a natural bush setting with accommodations ranging from cabins (one to four share), dormitory rooms (six share), the Bird Cage a group share self-contained facility (for up to 30 )and the grassed “car-free” campground with a few shaded Kombi van sites.
Available for all guests, hot showers with fresh water, a magnificent main building housing double kitchens with all crockery and cutlery, and a lounge area with free Wifi. Covered decked areas with tables, chairs and free barbecues. Laundry facilities are also available.

There are four rooms of six share (bunk style) accommodation. Linen supplied including sheets, pillows and blankets.
Each room has three sets of bunks, refrigerator with freezer, heater, and wall-mounted fan.

Bunk style accommodation includes one double bed and three single beds, in one room. Maximum capacity five people.
Cabins are not self-contained, they are located about 10 steps from the amenities building with toilets and showers.

Barbecue Refrigerator Tea/Coffee making facilities TelevisionCamping is in a tranquil setting on six acres of natural bushland. The camp ground is wonderfully car free, and you choose where you would like to camp.
Campers also have full use of all communal facilities. No powered sites available. They have a supply of wheelbarrows to move your camping equipment from the car park to your sites.
Tents, kombis, vans, and camper trailers welcome. Tent hire including beds and linen is available in the summer months. Bookings only essential for tent hire.
