Honeymoon Bay
Where To Stay Beecroft Peninsula, Shoalhaven, New South Wales
Honeymoon Bay is located within the Beecroft Weapons Range (BWR) on the Beecroft Peninsula in Jervis Bay. The small sheltered bay is a great spot to spend a day by the beach, snorkel and paddle in the sea, set in a picturesque location in Jervis Bay. It is approximately 10 kilometres from the edge of Currarong along the Point Perpendicular Lighthouse Road.
The area is generally open to the public on weekends and during NSW public and school holidays, however at times the area is closed when the car park reaches capacity, or for Defence exercises Monday to Friday.
BWR allows visitors to explore some of the Shoalhaven region’s most scenic spots, including Honeymoon Bay, Point Perpendicular, Outer Tubes, Long Beach, Target Beach, and Silica Cove.
Honeymoon Bay is particularly popular for its tranquil waters and picturesque camping area, which offers basic facilities such as portable toilets, garbage and recycling bins. Camping at Honeymoon Bay is managed through a booking system that opens 14 days prior to arrival, with special release dates for the NSW summer school holidays.
Visitors are strongly encouraged to contact Range Control or the Visitor Centre before planning their trip and must read the Beecroft induction brochure, which outlines safety protocols and regulations.
Contact the Beecroft Weapons Range office for more information, or check Facebook for updates on access.
