Moonan Cottage , was the Moonan Brook school built in 1881, during the Denison gold rush era.
Today this historic cottage offers family and large groups a chance to step back in time and reunite with each other.
It is an ideal venue and accommodation for large celebrations and DIY weddings.
Moonan Cottage is a truly peaceful setting with fresh air, brilliant stars and an abundance of wildlife, all from the comforts of your exclusive holiday cottage set on over two acres of grounds with brook frontage, where you have the World Heritage listed rainforests of Barrington Tops State Forest at your doorstep with endless bush tracks, spectacular lookouts, watering holes and magnificent waterfalls.
The Cottage can accommodate 25 of your friends and family and many more if some of your guests like to camp in their own tents or caravans.

The cottage provides a different, but very affordable experience. The cottage has retained the character and atmosphere of the late 1800s and early 1900s. It has received a few luxuries such as electricity, refrigerators, cooker, bathrooms and showers, flush toilets and hot water. The cottage sleeps eight and the school room another 16, and tents can be pitched in the paddock.
The two acre fenced, level paddock, is an ideal and safe sports ground. It’s the place where children can pitch their tents, play games and enjoy family activities. The older generation can park their caravans and trailers and relax.
