Bathurst Thoroughbred Racing
Things To Do Bathurst, Bathurst Regional, New South Wales
Bathurst Thoroughbred Racing was incorporated and rebranded in 2012, strengthening its profile and establishing strong recognition as a leading provider of premier country thoroughbred racing in regional New South Wales. The club is vibrant and active, delivering a diverse annual calendar of events and activities that foster a strong sense of community, while offering a range of benefits to its valued members.
The club enjoys significant support from local businesses, many of which proudly sponsor regular race meetings, feature race days, Fashions on the Field competitions and other key events. Tyers Park is the principal racing venue for the Central Districts region and plays a vital role in supplying race meetings for second-tier metropolitan and provincial trained gallopers. Its strategic location and close proximity to Sydney make Tyers Park an ideal training base for horses progressing to metropolitan and provincial competition.
Major race meetings, including the Bathurst Cup held in September and the prestigious Soldier’s Saddle Race Day on ANZAC Day, attract high-calibre horses, trainers and owners to Bathurst, generating significant excitement and drawing large crowds.
