Conveniently located at Murwillumbah Railway Station, the start of the rail trail, Better by Bike offers premium, comfy e-bikes for all. They offer tow-behind bikes and chariots, fat-tyre e-bikes, and adult e-trikes. Helmets, lights, bags, and locks are provided, with luxury van pickups available from the Gold Coast, Byron Bay, and Tweed Coast.
Ride the 24-kilometre trail both ways or one way with a pick-up. Friendly local staff provide bike tips and trail suggestions for a great day out. Don’t miss the magical evening glow worm e-bike tour!

After a brief safety and operation rundown, you’ll hit the trail equipped with all necessary gear and a map featuring top local recommendations for an unforgettable ride!
Starting your self-guided tour from the Murwillumbah Railway Station shop at the official trailhead, you can ride both ways back to your starting point or opt for a one-way 24-kilometre journey with a shuttle return for a per-person fee.
You can also opt to start your tour from Mooball, the southern end of the trail. Whatever you choose, they’ll make sure you have the “best day ever!”

This three-hour guided evening e-bike tour takes visitors through the Burringbar Range Tunnel on the Northern Rivers Rail Trail.
After you are collected from your accommodation, the adventure begins with a ride through the native rainforest, spotting nocturnal wildlife along the way. At the tunnel, riders dismount and walk through, lit only by the glow of thousands of glow worms.
This breathtaking experience offers a close-up look at these fascinating creatures, along with insights into their unique traits, microbats, and other native wildlife.

Choose to ride the 24-kilometre trail one way with a convenient pick-up at the other end, or enjoy a return journey at your own pace—the choice is yours!
After your self-guided tour, their friendly driver will shuttle you back to your accommodation. The entire experience, from pick-up to drop-off, takes 5–7 hours.

The day starts with luxury van transfers to Murwillumbah, where guests embark on a self-guided e-bike tour on one of Australia’s greatest rides through lush hinterland, rainforests, and a 524m tunnel to the village of Burringbar.
Guests then visit Tropical Fruit World for a farm-to-table lunch available to purchase at the cafe, and a guided tractor tour with and fruit tasting session. Guests can then explore the farm-made products market before being transported back to their accommodation.
Tropical Fruit World is a unique, family-owned fruit farm and agri-tourism leader since 1983. Nestled in rich volcanic soil, it grows 550+ fruits and follows sustainable farming. Visitors enjoy guided tractor tours, fruit tastings, a fruit market, retail market, nursery and cafe.

Discover the Lismore to Casino, the southern section of the Northern Rivers Rail Trail. Linking the vibrant arts hub of Lismore with the rural charm of Casino, this trail spans 30km (60km return), of scenic countryside, weaving through rolling farmland and lush bushland along the Richmond River valley.
See the Naughtons Gap rail tunnel, the protected home to the rare Bent-winged microbat, and sweeping panoramic views from the hilltop trail above. Finish in Casino and explore its remarkable art deco streetscapes.
Along the way, you’ll find remnants of the historic railway, including bridges and station sites, which add a nostalgic touch to the trail.
