The Grant McBride Baths

Historical Sites and Heritage Locations

Have a dip in the Grant McBride Baths, formerly ‘The Entrance Ocean Baths’ – the only ocean pool on the Central Coast. There is a 50-metre lap pool, 20-meter smaller pool, and a wading pool located by the Heritage listed Surf Life Saving Club at the southern end of The Entrance beach. There’s free entry all year round.

The baths were constructed between 1938 and 1965 and show how far ocean baths have come in the twentieth century. The Ocean Baths began as just a rock pool and are now an engineering masterpiece.
