Sandon River

Natural Attractions

The clear waters of Sandon, Northern NSW, have been a long time coveted by those in the know.

Just South of Brooms Head, Sandon campground is situated on the northern side of the Sandon River, while the Sandon village is located on the southern shores of the Sandon River mouth.

The river is great for fishing, as well as easy access to the beach for relaxing. Stay at Sandon camping ground within the Yuraygir National Park. Along the drive to the river, you often see kangaroos and wallabies grazing by the roadside. You may also see one of the last flocks of coastal emus.
