Kempsey Museum

Galleries, Museums and Collections

Kempsey Museum features the history of the Macleay Valley from before white settlement to the present day, including a pioneer cottage furnished using historical items. Set in South Kempsey Park, next to the Visitor Information Centre.

Displays include aboriginal history, boot making, timber industry, military history, natural history, dairy industry, shipping, historical vehicles, Shorty Ranger and local country music, telecommunications, textiles, silverware, ceramics and glassware, and the Angus McNeil glass negative photography collection.

Bus groups are welcome.
