Step into the enchanting world of Nimbin Candles, a true Northern Rivers icon and one of Australia’s original makers of non-toxic, hand-dipped candles. Nestled in the colourful heart of Nimbin, this unique candle factory has been crafting beautiful, slow-burning, smokeless candles by hand for over 50 years.

Born from the creative spirit of the legendary Aquarius Festival, Nimbin Candles was founded to offer a safe, eco-friendly light source for use in caravans, tents, tepees, and tiny homes. Today, it continues that tradition – using vegetable-based dyes, no animal products, and time-honoured techniques that honour both craftsmanship and sustainability.

You’ll get to witness Australia’s only water-driven candle dipping deck, capable of producing up to 1,500 stunning taper candles at a time! It’s a fascinating, almost hypnotic process that reflects the deep care and creativity behind each candle.
