These markings provide a direct link to the daily lives of Aboriginal ancestors. Round grooves were used for grinding food. Oval grooves were made by sharpening tools such as axes and spears.
The grooves are found where abrasive stone meets a nearby water source, showing the practical knowledge and cultural significance of the area.
