Aboriginal Tours at Wilgabah

Cultural and Theme Tours

Aboriginal Tours at Wilgabah offers immersive cultural experiences on Country, guided by local Aboriginal custodians. Visitors walk the land, hear ancient stories, and learn about traditional bush foods, medicine and sustainable practices.

A highlight of the experience is a remarkable sandstone site with over 200 cultural grooves and scattered stone artefacts. These markings provide a direct link to the daily lives of Aboriginal ancestors. Round grooves were used for grinding food. Oval grooves were made by sharpening tools such as axes and spears.

The grooves are found where abrasive stone meets a nearby water source, showing the practical knowledge and cultural significance of the area.

Every tour is grounded in deep respect for Country and the knowledge passed down through generations. Guests connect with the land through storytelling and hands-on learning.

What makes Aboriginal Tours at Wilgabah unique is its strong connection to place and the authenticity of every experience. Tours are delivered on Country with traditional owners, ensuring cultural integrity and genuine insight.

This is a rare opportunity to see, feel and understand the land through the eyes of its first people.
