Collaroy Beach

Amusement and Theme Parks

Collaroy Beach is a surf beach that adjoins Narrabeen Beach forming a long stretch of coast. It is part of an accessibility precinct that includes an all-abilities playground and access to a Free Wheeler which provides wheelchair access to the sand and the surf.

Collaroy Beach is partly protected from the wind and swell from the south, making it a perfect beach for beginners, swimmers and families. There is also a saltwater ocean pool however, if you prefer a smaller and quieter beach, just a short walk around the corner you will find Fishermans and Long Reef Beach. Don’t forget your snorkel and mask, as this is a great snorkelling spot to look for feather stars, heart urchins and sea slugs (also known as nudibranchs).

Due to the long and open stretch of coast at Collaroy-Narrabeen, it is prone to erosion, especially during storm events.

The beach has good swimming conditions. It is an excellent beach for beginner surfers. Good windsurfing in north easterly or southeasterly winds.

Parking Information:
Collaroy has parking available that is free for vehicles displaying a Council parking permit and a pay ‘n’ display is available for those without. The cost for pay and display parking is listed on the meter. Designated disabled car spaces.
