Dolphin Swim Australia provides the only permitted wild dolphin swim in NSW and the first wild dolphin swim of its kind in the world! The wild dolphin swim occurs offshore with swim leaders who are trained to take our guests through the most amazing experience of their lives with energetic and inquisitive oceanic dolphins!
This unique activity provides a thrilling experience where guests are so close to the dolphins that they feel like they are a part of the pod and are able to witness true dolphin behaviour!
Each tour includes training with a professional, fun and dedicated team, all necessary equipment (wetsuit, mask, snorkel and safety harness), educational commentary, breakfast, champagne, photos and a customised video!

This is the only permitted wild dolphin swim in New South Wales, and the first swim of its kind in the world!
We are located in the stunning Port Stephens region, and depart from Nelson Bay where we go offshore and swim with wild oceanic common dolphins!
Come and join the pod to witness TRUE wild dolphin behaviour! The dolphins don’t just swim past you, they swim WITH you for a long, interactive and mind-blowing experience! You are harnessed to a customised rope which is strung between the two bows of a 52′ (16m) catamaran and slowly pulled through the water. This is the safest and most harmonious way to swim with wild oceanic dolphins! They get a free ride and are having just as much fun as we are, and most importantly – they are free to swim away at any point!
There is a maximum of 24 swimmers and 12 observers on each tour.

You will be able to observe swimmers entering into the world of either the amazing Common Dolphin or the Common (Oceanic) Bottlenose Dolphin! Not only do DSA conduct the only permitted and completely wild dolphin swim in NSW, but it’s the first wild dolphin swim of its kind in the world!
DSA’s Wild Dolphin Watch includes a four hour cruise and complimentary light breakfast. An educational commentary on the Common Dolphins and Common (Oceanic) Bottlenose Dolphins, as well as the Port Stephens-Great Lakes Marine Park environment, is also included.
There is a maximum of 12 observers per tour. Private charters and group programs are also available and welcome.
