Putney Beach

Putney Beach is an idyllic reserve on the Parramatta River. Originally a swimming spot that fell into disrepair in the 1950s, the revitalised area was opened in January 2025. Fully netted with wide stone steps to access the cool waters of the river, Putney Beach is a lovely place to have a picnic. Find a shady spot along the grassy banks of the river and enjoy the large playground too.
