Thredbo Valley Horse Riding are second to none when it comes to horse riding in the Snowy Mountains. Come and follow in the footsteps of the Man from Snowy River, exploring the Australian High Country on horseback.

There are many horses to suit your style of riding, whether you are a crack hand with a horse or a beginner, they have the horse just for you. You will be shown many scenic views, visit remarkable wilderness areas through fern filled gullies, steep wooded ridges, cool alpine streams and meadows.

You choose how long you want to ride, one hour, two hours or half a day. Subject to numbers they have a daily ride early afternoon, call them for availability. Pony rides are also available for children.

This tour caters for intermediate to advanced riders only. Designed for those who want to get out and see as much of the beautiful Thredbo Valley as possible.
Approximately 3.5 to 4 hours, this ride takes you through lush alpine meadows and along cool, snow-fed streams – the views are simply breathtaking. Includes a 15 minute safety briefing and introductory lesson. A minimum of 4 people are required.

Have you ever wanted the full horse experience? The “From The Ground Up” three hour session gives you a chance to discover more about these beautiful creatures and what goes on behind the scenes. This package can be tailored towards your specific requirements as a horse-person, allowing you to get to understand a horse’s personality and experience first-hand exactly what goes into caring for horses. Instructing you in everything from catching, grooming, hoof care, saddling and finally riding.

This package includes a full lesson in the yards, followed by a 1.5 hour trail ride through the mountains to put what you have learnt into practice – time permitting, upon return, they can organize for you to come and feed the horses. A true, genuine farm experience! Very popular with couples. All standard of riders are catered for. Suitable for 8 years of age and above. Not available in school holidays.
