The new Sydney Fish Market has officially opened its doors, offering double the retail space of the old fish market in a spectacular new building housing more than 40 outlets, from casual takeaway and fishmongers to premium waterfront restaurants.

Beyond the food and beverage options, enjoy a cooking class with the Sydney Seafood School, or join one of the excellent immersive tours on offer, such as the Behind-The-Scenes Tour, which gives visitors auction floor access, or the Taste of Sydney Fish Market Tour, perfect for sampling different vendor specialties.

Keep your eye out for upcoming events, such as the 36-Hour Seafood Marathon and Blessing of the Fleet.

There are 400 car parks at the site, but the best way to visit is via bus or the light rail – with a new ferry slated to open in 2027.
