The Sydney Lyric opened in 1997 and has a history of welcoming legendary international performers and productions. Acquired by Foundation Theatres in 2011, it has now become a staple of the NSW musical theatre scene. Sydney Lyric is the place to experience musicals, theatre, concerts, opera and ballet.
Situated inside The Star entertainment complex, the theatre has been home to some of Sydney’s most notable theatre events including the Phantom of the Opera, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Matilda the Musical, The Book Of Mormon and Hamilton.
Arrive 15-30 minutes before the performance starts – or earlier if you would like to have a drink in one of the theatre’s licensed bars. Please only bring handbags and satchels that are smaller than an A4 piece of paper.
