Classes, Lessons, Workshops and Talks

15 Nov 2025 Once Only Event

Special guest speaker Diego Bonetto talks about his life of foraging in an interview with Gregg Borschmann from ABC RN.

The talk is part of the Lyrebird Festival which returns in 2025, celebrating the spectacular Megalong Valley with music, art, food and wine, talks and nature walks. Founded and directed by the Bowerbird Collective, and supported by Lot 101, this event brings together some of Australia’s finest musicians for a series of spellbinding concerts.

The Lyrebird Festival brings together art, science and conservation, and includes local culinary delights, intimate, world-class performances and an installation titled “Sonic Blossoms” by internationally renowned artist Jane Sheldon.

All events have been scheduled to allow for plenty of time moving between each location. All concerts and other events can be booked separately, or together with a Festival Pass. Pricing includes a ‘Pay what you can’ option. All concert tickets include a single beverage and nibbles.

The Megalong Valley is one of NSW”s special secret places – only two hours from Sydney, containing pristine forest, spectacular scenery, restaurants and wineries, walks and wildlife. Transport from Blackheath Train Station can be arranged on request.
