Maclean Highland Gathering

Welcome to the 121st Maclean Highland Gathering.

Grab your kilt and get yourself to Maclean, the Scottish Town in Australia. Walk among the clans that enjoy the town for the Highland Gathering every year from around the country. Witness a host of top-class Scottish musical, cultural and sporting performances in the picturesque Maclean.

On Friday, piping competitions take place non-stop at different venues, as well as drumming events held throughout the town; in the evening there will be a Ceilidh (street concert) featuring dancers, pipers and singers on River Street at McLachlan Park.

Bands parade down River Street on Saturday morning before the fun moves on to the Maclean Showgrounds for the main event with pipe bands, dancing and traditional Highland games, including the Caber Toss, to entertain crowds during the day. Choose a great vantage point under cover on the hill or mingle around the arena to experience a genuine gathering of the clans with Scottish gift, music, dancing, clan stalls, great food and a public booth.
