Beyond the Waves – Exhibition Opening

Beyond the waves, curated by renowned interdisciplinary artist Salote Tawale, gathers a compelling suite of video works by Pacific Islander artists who challenge, connect, and reimagine identity across oceans, histories, and generations.

Together, these works trace a rich network of stories – of place, memory, lineage, and belonging. They speak in distinct voices, each grounded deeply in the Pacific while simultaneously reaching outward, expanding the contours of contemporary dialogue. Woven together, they create a resonant and expansive chorus that reflects the vibrancy, strength, and diversity of Pacific Islander creative expression today.
