7 Feb 2026 to 4 Apr 2026 Monthly Event

Immerse yourself in the culture, history, and ancient Country of the Dabee people of the Wiradjuri nation, on the Wirimbili Cultural Tour Paddle and Walk.

Awe-inspiring scenery will greet you at every turn as you paddle the pristine waters, and trace the ancient course of the river, seeing and learning about the towering and amazing pagoda rock formations that come to life in the afternoon light.

Learn about the food sources the river provides, the Aboriginal history of the area, and further understand how we can all care for the rivers.

You’ll alight from your kayaks downstream, where your Wirimbili guide will accompany you on further exploration of the stunning land that straddles the river, allowing you to absorb the view of the Cudgegong River from above.

The guide will also identify some of the abundant native flora and fauna, explaining its significance and traditional use in medicine and bush tucker, and impart further knowledge about culture and caring for country.

This beautiful and immersive tour involves paddling, and walking over some uneven ground and a moderate level of fitness is required.
