Cooeee Sistas provide a safe, attractive, nurturing space that will encourage your creativity to come to the fore. This exciting afternoon kicks off with Debbs sharing with you, her passion, love and knowledge of traditional Aboriginal weaving practices using native grasses and demonstrating the same. You will then be invited to start your very own basket. The material they will use is natural Madagascan raffia which is an ideal soft material for adults and children alike to learn this traditional stitching method. They have also prepared naturally dyed, colourful raffia for you to use.
