A favourite and iconic Thredbo moment, the Saturday night Flare Run and Fireworks spectacular has been a long-standing tradition and crowd favourite in Thredbo for over 30 years. Every Saturday night in winter, a team of Thredbo’s expert skiers and snowboarders catch the last chair of the day and head up the mountain where they wind their way down the Supertrail with flaming flares lighting up the night sky. Shortly followed is the fireworks spectacular. Watch Thredbo’s skies light up with a brilliant show of fireworks that dance and glitter across the mountains.
This must-see free event is mesmerising and is the only skiing and snowboarding flare run event in Australia, the perfect entertainment for all ages and members of the family.
The Local Pub deck is the best spot to watch this event unfold. Grab a tasty pub meal, sip your favourite drink with friends and family as you watch from this prime position, and kick off a magical Saturday night in the enchanting Thredbo village.
