24th Gunning Patchwork Weekend

Classes, Lessons, Workshops and Talks

26 Jun 2026 to 28 Jun 2026 Annual Event

This year’s theme is ‘Repurpose with a Purpose: Bringing New Life to Old Ideas.’

After a busy year of teaching and travelling, Gunning Patchwork are lucky to have secured four fantastic tutors to guide this creative journey: Chris Jurd returns with some fresh projects and will be joined by Mary Kennedy, Lynne Wilson and Wendy Nutt.

Across the weekend, they’ll each run classes, offering six options in total (one- and two-day sessions) to suit every interest. With small class sizes for the best experience, spots will fill fast so book early to avoid disappointment.

All classes include catered lunches, morning and afternoon teas.

Registration will be at the GPW Fat Quarter located in the Gunning Shire Hall as the classes are scattered in suitable warm venues around the town.

The weekend is held each year on the last weekend in June. Timed to break the monotony of the winter, the weekend is also a great opportunity to have a break from the rat race. The GPW brings visitors to town and provides some welcome trade for local businesses.

Aimed at beginners and experts alike, the weekend focuses on completion of your project, good food, fun and friendships as well as high quality tutorials. Join them for an opportunity to get away from it all and create a masterpiece.
