Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra (Bowral)

Following a sold-out performance at the Sydney Opera House and a successful Queensland tour, the Australian Romantic and Classical Orchestra (ARCO) brings its acclaimed regional tour to Bowral, proudly presented by Music in the Regions.

Audiences can enjoy a rare opportunity to hear this exceptional ensemble live at St Jude’s Anglican Church, Bowral. Performed on period instruments, the concert features music by Schubert, Emilie Mayer, and Mozart, including his beloved Clarinet Quintet in A major, K.581 – a masterpiece celebrated for its warmth, elegance, and rich clarinet writing.

Dedicated to historically informed performance, ARCO transports listeners back in time with lush, expressive interpretations of classical and romantic works. The program includes Schubert’s youthful String Quartet No.7 and Mayer’s passionate String Quartet No.1, shining a spotlight on one of the 19th century’s most remarkable female composers.
