The South Coast Readers & Writers Festival returns to Thirroul for 2026 with a vibrant lineup of literary talent, from rising stars to international bestsellers.
With headlining authors Evelyn Araluen (The Rot), Antoinette Lattouf (Women Who Win), James Bradley (Landfall), Sulari Gentill (Five Found Dead), Michelle de Kretser (Theory and Practice), Tara Moss (The Italian Secret), Kate Mildenhall (The Hiding Place) and Andrew Pippos (The Transformations), plus many more festival guests to be announced.
Held in the Thirroul District Community Centre and Library, the Festival is a celebration of all things reading, writing and creativity on the South Coast of NSW. Choose from 12 unique sessions on Saturday and 10 sessions on Sunday on topics ranging from crime fiction, history, young adult literature, poetry, environmental writing, publishing, memoir, literary journals and more.
Plus, book launches, author workshops and a free “The Library That Made Me” event on Friday night brought to you by the State Library of New South Wales.
Dive into a celebration of writing, ideas, and voices that inspire, challenge, and connect, in the picturesque village of Thirroul on the NSW South Coast.
