Shade by Alexander Mills at Tyger Gallery

Sydney-based artist Alexandra Mills to Tyger for the next Tyger Project show, Shade.

Bringing together works across gouache, oil, paper and textiles, Shade looks at the play of shadow in places – through gardens, windows, trees, cliffs, rain and water.

For Alexandra, shade is both visual and physical: the pattern cast by light, and the relief felt when stepping out of the heat.

“It’s about noticing things you might have missed,” Alexandra says.
