St George Sailing Club

Bars

The 125-year-old St George Sailing Club underwent a $15 million renovation and reopened in 2022 as one of Sydney’s most stylish venues. Set out over the water at San Souci, and with plenty of white wood and glass, dining here feels like you are floating. Inside, it’s spread over 1,600m with a 300-seat bistro, outdoor dining, main bar, sports bar and function spaces.

The menu has been given a complete overhaul as well, focusing on fresh seafood and local produce. Alongside club classics like a seafood platter, burgers, pizzas, and fish and chips, there’s a sophisticated menu (think barramundi with celeriac puree, grilled baby octopus with caramelised potatoes, and a Riverine eye fillet), as well as a slick raw bar for fresh fish and oysters.
