Offering up a tight menu fusing Japanese and French flavours, Luc-San is a punchy cocktail-bar-meets-izakaya experience in Potts Point. Helmed by Luke Mangan (the namesake of the restaurant) with the kitchen headed up with Satyam Narang, Luc-San’s food focus is unexpected flavour combinations. Think a Japanese twist on duck a l’orange featuring Japanese stone fruit or sirloin steak served with tempura enoki. This approach also extends to the cocktails. You’ll find the likes of nori-infused gin, yuzushu and togarashi brightening up your shaken or stirred beverage (including mocktails), as well as a strong selection of sake and Japanese whiskies. Only open Friday through to Sunday, you can make a reservation, but walk-ins are welcome, too.
