Nestled in the picturesque village of Murrumbateman, The Vintner’s Daughter isn’t your average boutique winery. It’s a labour of love and a celebration of family, helmed by the dynamic husband and wife duo, Steph Helm—the accomplished winemaker, and Ben Osborne—the viticulturist. Steph started her winemaking journey at the tender age of 9, learning from her winemaker father, Ken Helm. She now crafts exceptional wines that are as unique as her story.
With vines dating back to 1978 and situated next to some of Murrumbateman’s most renowned vineyards, the Vintner’s Daughter picturesque vineyard is ideal for creating premium wines. At the heart of their approach lies a thriving ecosystem that goes beyond the vineyard with native plantings and a menagerie of animals, including delightful, rare Babydoll sheep, which graze harmoniously through the vineyard.
They produce some of the flagship wine styles of the Canberra District i.e. Riesling and Shiraz, but also pride themselves on their innovative approach to styles such as Pinot Noir, Gewürztraminer, Rosé, Sparkling Chardonnay and Fortified Shiraz. All wines are produced on-site.
