The town of Guyra is located between Armidale and Glen Innes on the Northern Tablelands of the New England region. Established as part of the extension of the railway in 1880, Guyra was originally a dairy farming community. Today it grows staple crops such as potatoes, tomatoes and other produce.
Enjoy bird watching at Mother of Ducks Lagoon, a wetlands reserve that attracts nature and bird lovers from all over the world. Or go bushwalking at Wollomombi Falls, Guy Fawkes River National Park, Ebor Falls and Cathedral Rock National Park.
The Lamb and Potato Festival is held each year in January to celebrate the local produce.
