Wombeyan Caves is an extensive series of beautiful limestone caves, situated in a 417 hectare reserve.
Hidden in a peaceful sheltered valley just one hour from Goulburn, the Wombeyan Karst Conservation Reserve offers spectacular limestone caves and a diverse range of flora and fauna.
Today,m Wombeyan Karst conservation Reserve boasts some of NSW’s most impressive show caves, including Figtree Cave, widely regard as one of the state’s best self-guided cave experience, and others that you can experience on a guided tour. Aside from the show caves, the reserve also has a few walks, including the Waterfall track that features scenic waterfall views and Mares Forest Creek track.,
You can explore the Figtree, Wollondilly, Junction, Kooringa and Mulwaree caves on a variety of guided and self-guided tours, that can be taken over one or two days. Heritage theme tours are also available, taking you back to the 1800s and the Figtree Cave is regarded as the state’s premier self-guided cave experience. The trip through Figtree Cave, culminating in Victoria Arch, is easily accessed by all ages.
