Town Camp Designs at Tangentyere Artists Aboriginal Art Gallery

Galleries, Museums and Collections

Visitors to Tangentyere Artists Gallery encounter an Aboriginal-owned, not-for profit arts hub representing Artists from across the Alice Springs Town Camps (18 Alice Springs Aboriginal housing associations).

The art centre supports emerging and established artists through their gallery, studio and outreach program. Tangentyere Artists also welcome Indigenous artists visiting town from remote communities, offering a safe place where Aboriginal people can sit down to paint. Artists are provided with an open environment to create and share artistic skills.

The art centre is committed to innovative, sustainable and ethical fine arts outcomes and are renowned for figurative paintings, diversity of mark making, rich colour palettes and embracing traditional and contemporary Aboriginal art making. Representing internationally renowned Yarrenyty Arltere Artists from Larapinta Valley Town Camp, and Ewyenper Atwatye Artists from Hidden Valley, Tangentyere Artists Gallery offers artworks and products from Town Camp Artists from multiple desert cultures and language groups from across Central Australia.

Tangentyere Artists welcome visitors to the Gallery to enjoy everything the Town Camp Artists want to share with the public.
