Sandy Camp

National Parks and Reserves

Sandy Camp is the fourth campsite reached on the Jatbula Trail and is the perfect spot to relax after a long day’s walk. The large waterhole perfect for cooling off and soft sandy beach surrounded by towering paperbacks makes Sandy Camp one of the most popular campsites on the trail. There is abundant birdlife to keep you entertained and the reflections of the sky and surrounds on the water can be mesmerising.

This long distance bushwalk is within Nitmiluk National Park and is 62 kilometres long. It is a one way walk that takes between 5-6 days to complete. If you are walking the trail over 5 days, you will have a long walk ahead of you on your last day to reach Leliyn / Edith Falls.

Toilets and an Emergency Call Device (ECD) are located close by to campsites.
The Jatbula Trail is a highly popular walk with limited numbers and needs to be booked online well ahead of your visit.
