Long beaches, dramatic coloured-sand cliffs, natural sandblows, rocky headlands and pristine freshwater lakes and streams are some of the spectacular natural features of K’gari (Fraser Island).
There are 35 camping areas on K’gari (Fraser Island) in Great Sandy National Park. All camping areas have capacity limits and may become booked out, especially during peak holiday periods. To avoid disappointment, book early—bookings are available six months in advance.
Camping permits are required, and fees apply. A tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite. Book your campsite and purchase your camping permit in advance. Bookings can be made online, over the counter or by phone.
Vehicle access permits must be purchased for every vehicle before arriving on K’gari (Fraser Island). Vehicle access permits can be purchased online, over the counter or by phone.
