Chills For Chillagoe

You will be camped right on the gorgeous Creek with serene natural surrounds. You can see the Chillagoe Caves, visit the old smelter and museum for a bit of history or just relax in the creek to beat the heat. The camping area is next door to my home property so there is a little bit of noise insofar as my dogs, my water pump when showering and the occasional loud clapping chasing crows away. We are also quite near the aerodrome hence the street name so there is plane noise every now and again. Currently there is a plane leaving every morning between 6-6:30am and returning late afternoon. I am sorry as the noise is does shatter the peace as usually the peace is so complete. It is also worth noting that there is no phone reception. You will however see a lot of wild life and have the creek pretty much to yourself.
