Barron River Getaway at Kuranda

Surrounded by 40,000 acres of world heritage rainforest, 15 minutes outside the village of Kuranda, you will camp next to the mighty Baron River. 

This place is totally private and you have access to a sandy beach where swimming is safe and completely secluded. It’s a great place for kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. There is a 360 degree view from the property, with nothing made by man in the way. 

There are 3 sites available all close to the river, and  can provide power and water as well as access to toilet facilities. The hosts are agile wallaby carers, with the rescued joeys being released back into the forest from here.

After a day of kayaking or hiking or exploring the area they also offer a sunset massage (as available ) by a local masseuse who lives on the property. Watch the stars in the night sky at your own campfire.
