D’Aguilar National Park camping
Where To Stay Mount Archer, Somerset, Queensland
D’Aguilar National Park offers both vehicle-based camping and bush camping facilities. There are two four-wheel-drive vehicle accessible camping areas in the North D’Aguilar section (Mount Mee)—Neurum Creek and Archer—and nine remote bush camp sites in the South D’Aguilar section accessible only by mountain bike or hike-in.
In the Mount Mee section of the park, the Neurum Creek and Archer camping areas are suitable for camping next to your vehicle. Due to the small size of the camp sites and designated car spaces, they are not suitable for campervans, trailers or caravans. Neurum Creek has some camp sites suitable for smaller camper trailers.
In the South D’Aguilar section, nine remote bush camping sites are only accessible by mountain bike or walking. Minimal facilities are provided. If you plan to visit these camp sites, you need to be physically fit, have bushwalking and navigation experience, and have an emergency plan in place with a responsible friend or family member. Always carry a topographic map, compass, first-aid kit, water and food. Mobile phone reception within the park is unreliable.
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site. Book your camp site and purchase your camping permit in advance. Bookings can be made on-line, over the counter or by phone.
