Popular seaside towns dot the coastline north and south of the Brisbane River mouth.

To the north, Sandgate, Brighton and Shorncliffe are buzzing suburbs with charming beaches, cute cafes, hip bars, historic architecture and the iconic Shonrcliffe Pier to explore. Enjoy fish ‘n’ chips in the parkland, wander the pier at sunset, and try watersports if you’re feeling brave.

To the south, Wynnum features a tidal wading pool and waterpark for children, and Manly is home to the southern hemisphere’s largest marina, which is filled with magnificent yachts. Tuck into a seafood feast of local oysters and prawns, wander the Wynnum Mangrove Boardwalk and learn to sail (or have someone sail for you!).
