PARKER Contemporary

Galleries, Museums and Collections

Under the direction of founder Emily Parker, PARKER Contemporary based in Brisbane’s Fish Lane Arts Precinct in South Bank is the leading gallery representing contemporary printmaking and papermaking artists in Australia.

Emily Parker’s deep passion and specialist knowledge shape a program that highlights traditional ways of making within contemporary print culture, from bold, intricate intaglio to ethereal handmade paper. As a commercial gallery, PARKER Contemporary represents leading and emerging artists whose practices centre on print and paper, actively placing works with private and institutional collections. Guided by a curatorial approach that ensures visual impact and lasting value, the gallery offers collectors and curators informed guidance in acquiring exceptional works on and of paper.

Works by artists represented by the gallery are held in major national and international collections, and has also exhibited at leading international and national art fairs including Sydney Contemporary and Aotearoa Art Fair.

PARKER Contemporary is located in the Fish Lane Arts Precinct at 38 Hope Street, South Bank, Brisbane. The gallery is a 5 minute walk from QAGOMA, State Library of Queensland, Queensland Museum and QPAC.

Special packages available for groups that include lunch and tours within the Precinct. The gallery space is also available to hire for corporate needs.
