Join us for the Taste of QAGOMA Tour and Lunch Experience, led by QAGOMA’s welcoming and experience art guides.

Starting at the Queensland Art Gallery, you’ll hear the story of the Gallery from its early origins in 1895 to its establishment across two architecturally acclaimed buildings today. Your tour will include fascinating revelations and insights into key artworks at the Queensland Art Gallery (QAG) and Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA), before concluding with a relaxing lunch at the GOMA Bistro, by the river.

Feel enriched and awakened with an exclusive and unique evening of Queensland’s unique Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art and culture at the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art. Find yourself immersed in memorable connections to Australian First Nations art, music, native food, dance, culture and storytelling.

After a beautiful Welcome to Country, hear from an Australian First Nations storyteller, artist and curator as they join you on a private tour of magnificent artworks.

Following the tour, enjoy an unforgettable dinner – where art meets food ― brought to you by First Nations Chef Chris Jordan , from Three Little Birds, in collaboration with QAGOMA’s Executive Chef Aaron Holt. Chris, a passionate advocate for native Australian ingredients, will share details of the delicious dishes being enjoyed.

Their First Nations storyteller, artist and curator will dine with you, continuing the conversation around art and culture throughout the evening, accompanied by live music and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dance performances.

On departure guests receive a bespoke gift, courtesy of the QAGOMA Store and Aboriginal Art Co.

Celebrate and connect with Australian First Nations art and culture.

Ideal for smaller groups, the evening commences with a beautiful Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremony and Didgeridoo performance by the Brisbane River. This is followed by a private tour of incredible artworks from the Gallery’s Indigenous Australian Art Collection, sharing the important stories they tell. The special experience concludes with a two-course dinner, infused with Native Australian ingredients, at GOMA.

The evening itinerary:

4.00–4.45pm | Native botanical cocktail on arrival & Indigenous Welcome
4.45–5.45pm | Tour of the latest Indigenous Australian Art Collection exhibition at GOMA
5.45‑8.00pm | Canapes & drinks, followed by a two-course dinner, from the Gallery’s Native Australia menu.
