Pack Rafting

If you’re looking for a unique and exhilarating outdoor adventure, Pack Rafting in FNQ is the ideal choice!

Traveling one hour south of Cairns we arrive at the Golden Hole recreation reserve where you’ll receive your lightweight backpack (4kgs) containing your pack raft, before embarking on a short 45 minute rainforest hike learning about the Indigenous history of the region.

At the end of the track, arrive at the crystal clear waters of the Russell River and be given instructions on the simple procedure to inflate your raft.

Once on the flat water you’ll receive a comprehensive safety briefing and paddling instructions while getting a feel for your easily manoeuvrable one person craft, then under the close supervision of our highly trained guides you’ll embark on your white water adventure!

This group guided activity, the first of it’s kind in Queensland, will see you piloting your own vessel and enjoying up to 3 hours of action on continuous rapids ranging in grade from 1 to 4. You’ll have the chance to take a break in between and admire the stunning scenery before arriving at the take out point and enjoying a delicious fresh picnic lunch by the river.
