Sorry have always understood that identity is performance. The London duo’s third album COSPLAY, arrives with the band in full costume as themselves: flipping cultural symbols, splicing early SoundCloud demos into studio recordings, and directing their own visuals under the FLASHA moniker. The result sounds like contemporary rock with all the genre markers shuffled deliberately out of place.
Asha Lorenz and Louis O’Bryen make music that rewards close listening and doesn’t explain itself.
