Welcome to Vietjet Redcliffe KiteFest – Where the Skies Come Alive

Vietjet Redcliffe KiteFest is back on with a fresh format that puts the magic of kite flying front and center – and entry is completely free! Pack a picnic rug and head to Pelican Park during the two days of colour, movement and spectacular displays by some of the world’s best kite flyers, including massive inflatable and artistic kites soaring high above the foreshore.

This year’s festival is all about getting back to what made KiteFest iconic: a joyful celebration of community, connection and the sky. Families can enjoy food trucks, a public fly zone, kids’ kite-making workshops and plenty of open space to watch and wonder.

If you’re from out of town, or have visiting friends and family, why not make a weekend of it in Moreton Bay? Catch the end of whale season, pick fresh strawberries, and dine on local seafood by the bay. Redcliffe KiteFest 2026 is proudly supported by naming rights sponsor VietJet, celebrating the rich tradition of Vietnamese kite culture and direct flights between Brisbane and Vietnam.
