PingPong Restaurant

Restaurant and Cafe

PingPong Restaurant offers authentic Thai with a modern twist.

Expect a certified feast for the senses, from tongue-tantalising Thai street eats and killer cocktail slushies to mood-altering light installations and a secret oasis.

Located in the heart of Newstead, Gasworks Plaza’s vibrant Thai-inspired eatery, is the brainchild of Yianni Passaris (the mastermind behind culinary concepts such as Yolk and Morning After) and head chef Khanittha ‘Bowyo’ Muangsong. Together, the duo have crafted a venue that is equally suited to casual lunches and dressed-up dinners.

Designed by Alexander Lotersztain, the space has undergone a bold transformation from its former identity, boasting a predominantly pink, eye-catching interior complete with recycled plastic surfaces, pink picnic tables and a dramatic installation of 300 floating, colour-changing ping pong balls. Ping Pong serves a menu of flavour-packed share-style Thai dishes rooted in authenticity but boasting a modern twist.
