Granddad Jack’s Craft Distillery is located just a two-minute walk from the beach on the border of Miami/Burleigh. As the first Gold Coast gin, whiskey, vodka and liqueur distillery to open its doors back in 2018, they have quickly become one of Australia’s most awarded and recommended artisan distilleries.
The converted surfboard warehouse was built using up-cycled materials from the local area to expose a raw and rustic, one-of-a-kind distillery. As you step into the toffee-coloured building, you’ll quickly appreciate the love and artisanship that went into its construction, and equally that same level of craftsmanship goes into creating their craft spirits.
This family-owned distillery was founded by father and son team, David and Luke Ridden, in honour of Granddad Jack, with each core range named and inspired by moments in his life.
Their award-winning spirits are handcrafted and made from locally and nationally sourced materials. Production is on full show to visitors at their neighbourhood Tasting Room, where you can enjoy tastings and cocktails of their world-class spirits or purchase a bottle to take home.
Distillery tours are available over the weekend, and you can even make your own gin during their weekly distillery experience.
