Holdfast Bay History Centre aims to provide a historical information service which meets the needs of the Holdfast Bay community and to promote awareness of the history and heritage of Holdfast Bay.
Their collection of more than 40,000 photographs and objects has grown from the generous donations of the Holdfast Bay Community and the extensive Civic Collections from the former Glenelg and Brighton Councils. You’ll discover objects, textiles, paintings, and photographs that reflect Holdfast Bay’s unique history.
Items from the collection are regularly on display at the Bay Discovery Centre Museum.
