Kingston on Murray Bridge Lookout and Sturt Memorial

Landmarks and Buildings

This lookout provides scenic views over the Murray River’s backwaters – Loch Luna is visible to the left and Wachtel’s Lagoon to the right – and the bridge that carries traffic along the Sturt Highway. The lookout also marks the spot where Captain Charles Sturt and his crew rowed past on their 1830 exploration of the Murray River.
